Regular gutter cleaning is one of the most important — and most neglected — home maintenance tasks in Northern Virginia. NoVA's mature oaks, maples, tulip poplars, and pines produce a steady stream of debris that builds up in gutters across spring leaf-out, summer storm fall, autumn leaf drop, and winter dieback. Most NoVA gutters need attention in two seasons minimum.

Clogged gutters in NoVA's climate are more than an inconvenience — they're a real threat to your home. When gutters overflow during summer thunderstorms, water cascades down walls, saturates the soil around the foundation, and can work its way into a crawl space or basement. Standing water in clogged gutters also becomes a mosquito breeding ground in our humid summers.

Our professional gutter cleaning service includes full debris removal from all gutters and downspouts, flushing the entire system with water to verify flow, inspection of gutter condition (hangers, slope, seams), downspout clearing and flow verification, minor repairs at no extra charge, and photo documentation of any issues found.

We recommend cleaning at least twice per year — once in late spring after the maple seeds and oak catkins drop, and once in late fall after deciduous leaf-fall. Homes under heavy pine canopy may need quarterly cleaning.
